Late Night Partying Recommendations:
Dine and Dance Stuff (advice from Ed Velasquez – the NIGHT OWL EXPERT!):
One of the best restaurants in the OC is Bistango located in The Atrium Building just a few blocks from Pregos and the Irvine Marriott.
Bistango has live mellow music nightly to add a romantic touch to a wonderful dining experience. I’ve been a patron of this fine dining establishment for over 20 years. The food and the service is just outstanding. Great wine selection and great menu.
You will notice it’s not one of the common run of the mill dine and dash dives when you drive up and see all the OC type heavy metal in the valet parking area. The attire of the patrons is casual, sophisticated and purely hot OC! This is one fine place to people watch from the bar.
If someone has an urge to go do hootin, bootin and scootin in Irvine. Well that’s a tough order to fill in Irvine but I’ve come across a place near the north end of John Wayne airport just off Redhill Ave. Its call the Atomic Ballroom the have swing dancing on the first floor and Country Western dancing on the second floor.
17961 Sky Park Circle, Suite C, Irvine, CA 92614 | 949.250.3332 … honky-tonk anymore
By the way, safety notice:
The Irvine PD is very observant with respect to individuals who may be DUI. So you don’t want to be tooling around after having some great chardonnay, merlot, or the customary JD on the rocks. J
Original Mikes in Santa Ana has at least two bands that play on Friday and Saturday nights. One plays outside on the patio and the other plays inside in the main dancing area. They do have a cover charge, so you may want to get there early, before 7:00 PM.
